We are big, big believers in the timeless life taught by Jesus. Although most translators insist vaguely on translating the Greek adjective aionian as "everlasting," I do not believe that Jesus promised us "everlasting" life. There is a very good reason for this: All life is already "everlasting," and he knew this. What he offered his disciples, as any good gnostic will assure you, was the "timeless" life. That is life lived in only the "eternal now" of the mystic. And that means now, and now, and ... Well, you get the idea.:)
