Healing Touch

This donkey (body) heals more like you: It has to be touched a lot, and is a big believer in "therapeutic touch," now practiced by some nurses, and in integrative medicine (used to be "holistic," or "alternative" medicine).

People who are in absolutely splendid health need to be touched regularly, so it makes sense that those who are ill-- in need of positive energy-- need touch even more. What would the experience of a kitten, puppy, or other sweet critter be without being able to touch him/her?

So, at times, to love is to touch, and vice-versa. Everyone needs touch, although some pretend not to. ]They want others to think that they are "too tough" to need touch. (There is actually only one letter difference between "tough" and "touch.")]

Studies of infants and toddlers had to be discontinued when certain ones were selected not to be touched. These neglected children actually died! Scientists called this lethal condition "failure to thrive."

So, if young human beings are not touched, they die. Basically the same emotive processes and the same biochemistry and neurochemistry mark more mature members of the species. Thus, it follows logically that adults also need touch. And, as the absence of touch acts as a lethal toxin to the very young, it is also a toxic condition when adults do not touch.

This is a subtle and weak toxin, but its effects, in our cold society, can be cumulative. Needing to touch others, and to be touched by other positive people, is not a weakness, but an inherited or intrinsic need of human psychophysiology.

Thus, the more hugs, the more handshakes, the more sharing, the better! We must return to the simple ways of our ancestors, who lived without computers, cyberphones, ipods, and other isolating mechanisms. We must learn to reach out to one another, and offer our hearts through our hands. This is a very touching and touchy subject!:) But it is one that we all need to think about, especially those among us who have real interests in healing each other and the planet!:)

Hopeless Reaching for Goddess

*******

Happily, the most important things in our lives do not at all depend in any way on our belief in them. Whether we believe it or not, Goddess is Love; and even if we lack the ability to believe, She remains Love. Even when Love is inaccessible, or incomprehensible, It/She is still present within the Core-mind, deep inside you and inside me. Even when we have lost the ability to cry out (or, in) to this Love, It/She knows our sufferings; She heals us through each other.

She enters the heart most often through our discovery of personal helplessness. That means that we must completely give up on, abandon, any personal desires to "fix" our lives, and step out of Her way.

We cannot solve every problem in the universe; but at least, we can share our tears and fears.

So, whether you know it or not, Love is an interior Force for good that is always working to heal you-- make you whole. But please try to be patient, for healing does take time. If you want to discuss this or any related matter personally, please give me a quick call. [The number is (513)737-LOVE (5683).]

Medicine, Healing, and Love

How right you are about my Soulmate, who has made this life far better than we could or would have ever predicted!:) She is gentle cool clear water on a planet that is so often a harsh superheated desert.:)

Re the transplant, we have come to cease expecting anything from the docs, who almost never communicate "from on high;" and their nurses are useless when it comes to information re the timing of the transplant, guarding any with their lives as a "deep, dark secret." This is ludicrous to absurd. So, we have come to expect precisely nothing from either group; when it is convenient for them, they might let us know; just hope that we have time to prep and pack!:)

There is little to no empathy in the entire system of modern medicine; the whole interaction has been computers speaking "digitese" to other computers; hardly a human communication has occurred. In fact, I have received not a single email message from any doctor or any nurse from thebeginning.

This proves how far medicine has drifted from healing; for, in healing, the human aspect, especially the alleviation of suffering, is always in the top one percent of cares; in this ultratechnical system, the human element is eradicated as far as possible. No wonder that they are planning to use robots for surgery; that will rid the system of its last technical imperfection-- human input. Medicine, already frosty and snowy, just gets colder.

You are right on target, by the way, in your hard-earned lesson that there are people to whom you can give Love, and those to whom you cannot. To find those "hungry" and "thirsty" for Love-- in both its giving and receiving-- is truly a blessing. But trying to love Martha [pseudonym] and her ilk is a spectacular waste of timenergy, and of even life itself. For she still has very much growing to do, and it is not likely that she can accomplish this during one little lifetime.

So, to sum up, we are where we began: in the dark. But we have promised the Spirit that we will attempt an honestly Taoist attitude towards this entire matter of the transplant: Just trust and wait, not fret, worry, or manipulate. And the reward has been increased peace.:)

Lovexpression

As the people of Love, our hearts motivate us to, and we vow to, love everyone-- without exception, including friends, enemies, and strangers.

In fact, Love is the most healing and joyful activity in the world! It is utterly fulfilling, for It is the reason that we were first created by ("emanated" from) the One, the only Mind in existence. Love moves us towards primal Union, or reunion, with the Mind of Love, or Godmind. So, Love is the key to fulfillment, satisfaction, and utter contentment.

Love is indescribably beautiful. It is what all human beings most deeply want to express, and to share, with other human beings, and with other creatures-- even with the Goddess (God) and the "angels. The world is starving for Love! (Someday, we will be challenged to share this same Love with extraterrestrials as well.)

So, Love is the most fun a human being can possibly have! It is as satisfying biologically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually as finding a glass of cold water when we are thirsty. Love alone fills the needs of the human Soul; nothing in the universe can replace It.

Although we know that all this is true, nevertheless, we must exercise caution in everyday Lovexpression. We can feel the infinite Love of God shining and glowing in our hearts. But we cannot always safely express It.

Why not? Why cannot the lover of all humanity express Love freely, hugging everyone, and telling her, "I love you"?

It is because of the dull and primitive, backwards and arrested, programming of society. For society, from poprock music to commercials, popularly programs people to believe that the word "Love" is, or should be, limited to sexual and/or romantic Love.

We who study agapology-- the art and science of Love-- know that Love can mean a wide spectrum of a million more things. But people are so mercilessly and incessantly, relentlessly programmed to see "Love" as romance or sex, you are very likely to be misunderstood if you express "Love" to a stranger. This is tragic, unfortunate, and very, very sad.

What it implies is that we all must exercise caution.

If we are not to end up being labeled, or taken to a mental hospital or police station, we must temper all our Lovexpressions with strangers. (Joyfully, we need not do this among the people of Love, who understand the many types and powerlevels of Love.)

In Greek, there are several words for "Love." One of them, the Greek eros, originally referred to Love as a cosmic force that held the cosmos together. It was eros that held hydrogen and oxygen together in water-molecules. But, in time, this word came to mean or to imply sexual or romantic Love.

And "erotophobia"-- the fear of sexual or romantic Love or involvement-- is quite common. So, in all Lovexpression, we show Love by respecting the boundaries and limitations of people. We are never controlled by their fears, but, out of kindness, must respect their sensitivities. This means that, although we withold no Love, we must, at times, withold Lovexpression: It is not always good or appropriate fully to express Love to a stranger; we must take a few steps back, and approach the matter with caution, so as never to be intrusive or invasive of the other's privacy.

The Lord/Lady of Love

For Love is so much brighter than any "sun" (even leo!), it makes galaxies look like snuffed candles. And God's eternal bliss is so very high that it makes all other joys look like mourning by comparison. The ecstasy of God (Love) is more than an instant; in time, it can grow into a steady state for the one who has been "blinded" by Its glory, blown away by Its Power, and metamorphosed by Its Love.

God is much more than the beauties of all earthly and celestial beauties combined; She is beauty Itself, and nothing exists that can ever rival the beauty of Her Love.

In the Light-filled Mind, every second of every day is a celebration of Love; it is always Christmas, and always spring, and the world always overflowing with sweet-smelling roses in every color; they blossom in billions, filling the heartmind to overflowing with the delightful and ever-pleasing scent of Love.

Just thinking about this infinite Love, for only a minute, is a "healing" experience; it leads to greater integration. If taking small sips can elevate, then gulping the glittering Ocean of God can drive into irreversible ecstasy. This incomparable, ineffable, indescribable Love can heal anything without exception. There is no body in the universe that She cannot heal. But, for the sake of karma, and also, for the sake of a gentle exit, some conditions are not healed by the great Healer in her omniscient Love.

So, when healed, we praise the God of Love. And, when not healed, we also praise the Lord and Lady of endless Love.

Christian Science: Letter to a Believer

*******

Dear Friend,

You write, in your email, "I am sorry to read such a smearing blog misrepresenting Christian Science in such a profound way - and demonstrating a gross mis-understanding about its teachings." It is obvious that you write as a defensive true believer, for it was not our purpose in any way to "attack" Christian Science. And I have read and studied its literature, including the works of Mary Eddy.

When the microreligion was founded, "mental healing" was all the rage in American society. Many much more famous people than Mary Eddy embraced it, and philosophies related to it, including Emerson, Whitman, Thoreau, and R.W. Trine, among many others.

You write, "Christian Science is not a cult." Of course, it is axiomatic among sociologists and students of religion that all members of all cults are programmed (or, educated) to believe that their faith is "not a cult." Not a single member of the Jehovah's Witnesses, Mormons, Hare Krishna, Scientologists, Christadelphians, or any other minority faith would agree that it is a cult. The word "cult" has a very bad reputation, but this is largely the result of ignorance.

In sociology, this word is not a pejorative; it is a convenient social grouping. It describes (usually) minority groups that either follow the teachings of one person (such as Mary Eddy) or a small group. The leader(s) must be seen as possessing some special "revelation" or divine wisdom not possessed by any other person. Any honest, objective analysis must agree that Christian Science fits nicely within these parameters. Members insist on conformity, insisting that all relevant truths can be found within their group, and that anything or anyone who disagrees with the formal teaching is "wrong." Christian Science also conforms to this definition. In short, the claim to absolute truth is made-- a claim rejected by academic and other more humble groups, however intelligent or enlightened.

You write, "Mary Baker Eddy... is valued greatly by Christian Scientists as the revelator, the discoverer and founder of the science of Christianity - which might be defined as the practical nature of the divine law demonstrated by Jesus in his healings and works." I was under the impression that Jesus was the "revelator" of the "science of Christianity"!

I find it interesting that you are more interested in focusing your letter on Mary Eddy than on Jesus and His teachings. For you continue, "Mrs. Eddy herself asked her followers to follow her only as far as she follows Christ." Yes, and in these words, she uses precisely the very same language as the founders of every other minority religion. You call this "a humble sentiment"-- the very same words used in other cults to refer to their very own leaders. Many in the history of Christian Science wanted to write and even to publish books about the popular subject of mental healing, and Eddy prohibited their being published by the Christian Science publishing house, and she discouraged her followers from reading any of it-- not exactly an open-minded forum for free expression. And Eddy, to this very day, is treasured by true believers as, to use your word, the "revelator" of God Himself. Her works are, for that minority, on a par with the Bible itself.

You write, "Her revelatory textbook illumines the Biblical teachings..." This is exactly the same precise claim made by every other "Christian" cult; they all agree in approach and presentation. Thus, so far, your letter says absolutely nothing new.

You write next, "It shows the science behind the actions of Jesus, therefore revealing how ANYONE (not just a those attending its church) can learn to heal." But the official teaching of the group is that those who do attend the meetings of Christian Science, or who read its literature, do have a distinct advantage over unbelievers; they are "superior" in knowledge or education.

You write, "The author of the blog also seems to cast Christian Science in the same light as positive thinking or any of the other systems like it that rely upon the human mind as a healing agent." Mary Eddy herself taught that alterations in the "human mind" were absolutely necessary for her way of healing to have any effect whatsoever. She taught that if her system were not followed, pretty much to the letter, no healing could occur. With what instrument do people become true believers if not with their "human minds"?

You write, "On the contrary, Christian Science appeals to divine law, the divine Mind, or God - as opposed to the human mind." No, it does not simply rely on the divine Mind alone; if it did, then one would simply pray, as did Jesus, "Not my will, but thine." CS, to the contrary, depends fully upon the human will-- which it carelessly assumes to be the very same as the divine will. This is not, of course, always the case. In fact, it might be argued that human will is rarely confluent or resonant with the divine will, except when it is engaged in Love.

You write, "It is this same divine law that was taught and practiced by Christ Jesus to heal in his era." So, why has no Christian Scientist in the entire history of the cult been able to heal all, or most, of the sick even within the strictly limited population of the minority faith-- a small group, of all true believers?

You next, rather predictably, encourage all readers to read Mary Eddy's book. This is a technique practiced by the Mormons, who encourage the reading of the books of Joe Smith, and Jehovah's Witnesses, who encourage reading of the books of the Watchtower Society. Again, nothing new has been taught in your letter. Reading it is an exercise in review.

Peace and Joy,

Healing Love

*******

The best way to help a paranoid schizophrenic is by supplying her with plenty of unconditional Love. Like all other persons, the person troubled with this serious psychological disorder responds to agapology-- expressions of unconditional Love.

Paranoid schizophrenia is a very serious mental disorder. It cannot always be healed completely, even by Love, but Love does improve those who suffer from this terrible disorder.

Love is always the right response, the right thing to do, in any situation and every situation. It always helps to improve the individual who gives and the one who receives. In time, it has the effect of healing the entire planet, and the entire galaxy.

So, let us continue, in Love, to pray for all who are ill. Let us pray, specifically, that healing Love fill every heart with the healing Light of Love. And let us pray relentlessly and incessantly, never giving up; for this is the only Way that Love will ever overcome fear. For all the cosmos is involved in the conflict, opposition, or disparity between Love and fear; it involves each and every heart. So, let us declare our solidarity with Love, and against fear. Then, let us follow up our declaration with actual activities of compassion, charity, generosity,
and kindness. For every act of Love is an act of healing.

Illness and Healing

*******

Sickness usually does not have any supernatural origin. It does not come
from God or from a "devil." It occurs because we are all a part of
nature, and nature has drifted away from the perfect Mind, although that
perfect Mind still indwells nature.

In ancient times, this Supermind was called "God," and nature was called
"Goddess." (Early Christians had a goddess they called "Sophia.") God,
the infinite Mind of Love, lives within and through the Goddess. They
are not "two beings," but God is one with Goddess.

Nature has also become the tool of energy. When we deliberately act in
any way, we send forth energy. It can be positive (constructive) or
negative (destructive). Nature acts as a kind of "energy-mirror," and
sends back to us the very same energy that we sent out.

The Soul wants always to learn. Spiritual education in Love is the very
reason that this world exists. The whole world is a school, and it is
here to teach us. One very important way that it teaches us is by
limiting us. One important way that it limits us is by allowing us to
experience illness. This shows our complete dependence upon God (Love)
as the great Healer. For every act of Love is an act of healing. It
might not heal us completely or permanently, but each and every act of
kindness, goodness, or compassion makes us stronger and more healed.
(The word "heal" comes from the same root word as "whole," and "holy.")

So, any disorder, any sickness, can be understood in terms of our Soul's
trying to educate us in Love. For when we suffer, we then feel sorry for
others who must also suffer. For if a person suffers little, she also
loves little. She who suffers more can love more. She becomes, at best,
an instrument or vessel for divine Love. This human vulnerability was
what God meant when he told St. Paul, "My Power will be made perfect in
thy weakness." So, Love is made more perfect when we experience
suffering due to physical limitations, or even illness.

Illness also teaches us to love our bodies. How do we love our bodies?
By getting enough sleep, by eating good and healthy foods, by meditation,
and by loving others. All these activities prove that we are selfloving,
and we cannot effectively love others unless and until we love ourselves.

God and Healing

*******

God can heal any person of any condition at any time. Absolutely anything is possible with God, as Jesus said.

Why does God (Love) not perfectly heal everyone, giving the great gift of a perfect bodymind to all His/Her children?

This is possible, but God allows the inconvenience and even suffering of illness in order for us to learn compassion through empathy. A person who has never suffered would feel no compassion towards others who suffer. But she who suffers much, loves much.

Imperfect health is the essence of our spiritual training in Love.
Illness also makes us humble, realizing that we cannot control everything with the conscious mind. The tendency towards "magical thinking' is so attractive, so tempting, that God often allows us to experience illness in order that we can realize our full and complete dependence on Love (God).

Added to the above is our karmic heritage. If ever, in our long history, we have harmed another with deliberate intention, our body might reflect the same or similar condition. But even if this might be so, it does nothing to neutralize or dilute our real need to show compassionate Love towards all. Also, some suffering is the result of voluntary or elective karma; it was chosen by a Soul to accelerate spiritual development.
Also, remember that illness is not "totally bad," for it can provide us with opportunities for exits from these bodies.

But this is by no means the most common explanation. A fourth reason for illness is that it teaches us precisely what we need to learn. Most of the great and lovely saintmystics and mastersages of history have suffered from some biological shortcomings. These could turn their attention away from the glittering baubles of the external world, turning their gaze inward.

At any rate, we know that illness is not the result of a "curse" by God, but is instead an evidence of His special blessing. St. Paul had eye-trouble, about which he prayed many times. God apparently did not heal him, but told him, "My strength shall be complete in thy weakness."

These "weaknesses" remind us continually not to depend upon the ego, but upon only infinite Love (God). They slam the interior brakes on ultraegotism and egocentricity. For only when humbled from the illusion of selfimportance does a heart turn towards Love.

Healing and Love

Healing and Love
*******

Sally [pseudonym] has been practicing a lot of talk-therapy since visiting here during the last couple of days. She is definitely improving, as she was able to bring up her husband who passed away several times without bursting or melting into tears. Time truly is the great healer for all of us, and for all conditions. It is the balm of Love that puts distance between us and our own interior dragons.

So, there is fullest agreement with your definition of a healer. The best healer is she who can become transparent and allow the Light to shine forth through her, without casting egoshadows in Its way.

A Love lost cannot immediately regrow. It will take time, and it will take time for Sally's Love for her husband to be mended by other forms and types of Love in her heart. For Love continuously mutates into different, sometimes interchangeable, forms. But, even as you and I speak about the matter, the miracle of Love (God) is being healed and re-created in her heart, and she is healing.

For psychospiritual healing is much like physical healing, in that no person can ever "heal" another. In physical medicine, a doc does not heal; she only prepares the environment so that it can support the body's own internal healing processes. Also, spiritually, no ego can heal another; we can only help the healee prepare her mind to be open to the natural processes of healing. Exposure to positive ideas, and positive thinking generally, is a good and powerful therapy.

We can combine this with deliberate relaxation, healing music, good nutrition, humor, light, and other therapies. Each can be a factor in allowing for the Flow of natural mindhealing energy.

Please "send" her healing energy and Love; now, she has progressed to where she can talk about her husband without bursting into tears, and that is real accomplishment.:)

Healing and Energy-fields

*******

If the chakras exist, they are a part of nature. So, asking whether they "fit in with" Christianity is like asking whether stars, oceans, winds, or electricity "fit in" with the Christian Way.

Medical evidence for their existence, within the realms of our Western science, is not yet complete. But the fact that acupressure, phototherapies, chromotherapies, and other nontraditional healing paths do work successfully does indicate that the body is surrounded by several interactive, reactive and responsive energy-fields.

Those who made these discoveries were not Christians, for no one was in those ancient times. For they lived before the birth of Jesus.

But it would be simple bigotry not to use a technology for this "excuse" of a "reason." Not all computerparts are made by Christians, but all modern Christians use them in their educational and other ministries.

The chakras (pronounced not "shock'-rahs," but, "chuck'-ruhs") are a part of nature, and nature is the "Second Book of Revelation." That is, it reveals God. A study of these energy-vortices can help us to love our bodies by caring for them better.

There is implicit evidence that even the great healer Jesus knew about the energy-bodies and chukras, and likely used them in some healing.

Illness and Healing

*******

Things are much simpler when viewed through the divine Mind (the "eyes"
of Love). Nevertheless, it is impossible, without denying discovered reality, to deny that the cell is as complex as New York City! At any moment, hundreds of thousands of complex biochemical reactions are occurring among the million million cells of the physical body. Each involves dozens to thousands of steps. So, no matter how highly we might regard simplicity-- and mystics treasure it greatly-- there is very little simplicity in the universe of cytology (cell-study) or biochemistry in general.

Positive thinking can be a great asset in healing. But we must be very careful to circumscribe it within its own valid limits. If we keep it within reasonable perimeters, positive thinking, and visualization, can be among our most valuable tools.

The "interior wounded child" can exacerbate, and even cause, some psychophysical disorders. And even though "psychosomatic," these disorders can be very real.

There is very much in every life, the "crap" that clings to us along the way, from which we must cleanse the heartmind. Transforming the entire mind into Love is no easy or quick task! That is why we cannot make it happen, but can only permit the deep Love-nature (God within) to take over the mind. And letting go of past trauma is like letting go of acid; it burns us only as long as we cling to it!

But the rose of Love does not grow without the "fertilizer" of the "negative" events of our lives.

In perhaps thirty to a hundred years, the medical profession will be forced to recognize the invisible currents of force, and the energyfields, that affect bodily health. But current medicine is very primitive! For there is so much more that we do not know than that which we do know.

Healing the Soul

*******

We were secure in the facts that, when it was the will of Love, you would again contact us, and the universal Mind of Love did not disappoint! In our new Taoist perspective, if you did, that would be wonderful, fabulous! But if you did not, that would also be wonderful, fabulous! As in all things, the will of the One be done!:)

You have had a remarkable spiritual journey, not dissimilar to the one taken through this donkey (physical body)! We learn so much through our donkeys (bodies) that it is selfevident why we have to "wear these costumes" here on earth!:) Biochemistry and neurochemistry are so gigantically and enormously complex that no one has ever understood them in all their many intricacies: The body remains a deep mystery despite real and major advances in biochemical and medical research. Despite some arrogance in the medical community, we are still at the level of "medicine men" shaking primitive bone-rattles and doing incantations.

Today, our "demons" have names such as mesothilioma, but they are "demons" nonetheless, and must include spiritual as well as medical cures. Otherwise, they, and we, remain incomplete, uncured, ill.

Jesus and Lao Tzu are both fine "doctors of the Soul," necessary for complete healing. And, happily, there are many other luminaries throughout history! The Sermon on the Mount and the "Book of the Great Mind and Its Expression" are both classics of spiritual and mystical literature. Btw, Love Ministries has recently produced an original rendition of Lao Tzu's great, refreshingly simple, and spiritually liberating work, the Tao Te Ching. If you would like a copy, we would love to gift you with one.

I'd also love to send you the story of this life, an "abiography" (the life-story of a mystic) called Soaring On Sunshine: An Abiography of a Mystic. So, could you please send along your snailmail address? As you know so well from your experience with the SoM (Sermon on the Mount), good reading can transform life! We always highly recommend it as therapy for all people, all the time!

Simply living on earth requires all the positive therapies that we can possibly uncover, both within our own minds and within the world. For both are God, and Her will is always our healing in Love.:)

Generosity Therapy

*******

Did you ever make a horrible mistake, or do something deliberate but unspeakable? It is a natural part of the human condition that most of us have.

The absence of selforgiveness can take us into many, profound, seemingly interminable, hellstates from, and in, the subconscious mind. It is not enough simply to tell yourself that "God has forgiven you," for your own subconscious mind has not, and it will allow no peace at all.

This is where "generosity therapy" comes in.

For how can we speak with the subconscious mind? It does not use usual words. But it is continually watching our behaviors.

The message that we want to give to it is, "I am a good person, despite my terrible error." So-- and Christmas can remind us of the value of this therapy-- give widely to friends and strangers. And do not give $2 gifts; instead, make them gifts that count, that impact upon your pocketbook. For that which does not impact your income will have little effect on your mind.

Give, generously, abundantly, widely, extravagantly, and without keeping count.
Give as the Goddess gives you air-- freely, without demanding dues or promises to repay.

Give out of a sincere Love deep from the heart. Give with joy and abandon, for it is only in this kind of giving that we "receive." What we give proves to the skeptical subconscious mind that we are beings and creatures deserving of true forgiveness. It proves us worthy. It earns us the "interior gold" of good karma. It erases, neutralizes, and wipes out our karmic debts.

It refreshes, heals, body, mind, and Soul. It triggers increased Love, for the only way to get Love is to give it. And the same applies to forgiveness.

Christmas Words

*******

Our poor, ravaged little tiny planet needs all the words of Love and healing possible, as it has always been torn asunder by fools, fakes, and simply misguided people. Let us use Christmas as the Season to multiply positive words of joy, Love, and healing.:)

A Holy Day

*******

Christmas is coming. It is a "holiday," a contraction of "holy-day." It is arguably the "most holy" day of the year. Of course, to the spiritual, each and every day is holy; in a sense, every day is "Christmas." For each day gives us opportunities to express our Love. And our Love is the "interior Spirit of Christ," expressing in our little world.

Some rigid literalists reject Christmas. They argue that Jesus was not born on December 25. And this is likely true. No one really knows the exact day when Jesus was born.

But it is a good, healthy, helpful practice to celebrate Love in many forms. For it is not simply the birth of the human Jesus that is most commemorated by Christmas. It is instead the birth of the Christ-nature within our hearts. (This is the Lovemind.)

For this is the deeper, and more spiritual, meaning of Christmas. Love includes, and is powerfully expressed by, generosity. And that is why we give gifts. Christmas is not all about materialism, or gifts. But despite the commercial cynicism that has contaminated the holi-day, it is about giving, generosity, kindness, charity, and goodness. Cynics who refuse to celebrate it are often concerned more with their bank-account than with the happiness of the people around them. This might be the
real, deeper reason that some reject Christmas.

As Francis said, It is in giving that we receive. So, to give generously during Christmas is a special opportunity to serve God (Love) by giving gifts to others. For the only Way to love God is by loving others. And our giving should be a pleasure, not a task, job, or assignment. So, let us celebrate our special and very spiritual Christmas. Let us remind each other that we care. Let us touch bases with old friends, often neglected during ordinary days.

Let us abandon hard cynicism. Let us dare to believe-- in Love, in goodness, in generosity. Let us give the greatest gift of all-- our time and attention-- to accompany the merely material gifts. Let us shine the Love of the heart upon each other, in friendliness, in friendship, in forgiveness, abandoning old hurts and healing our friendship-circles. For this is the true meaning of Christmas, and this is what Love is all about.

Healing

Healing
*******

I have experienced Christian healing-rituals, prayers, and the "laying on of hands" about twenty times during this career. It has been an active part of this spiritual career to explore personally every spiritual path available. So, yes, my friend, I have experienced Pentecostal, Assembly of God, Catholic, Lutheran, Science of Mind, Unity, general charismatic, and several unclassifiable fundamentalist "brands" of Christianity in their healing methods.

Some involved shouting the name of Jesus, others were totally silent. Some involved long prayers, others the simple laying on of hands. Some involved "holy water" and Communion, others did not. I have exposed the donkey (body) to, and have experienced, a wide variety of healing methods. With most, sad to say, there were no subjective or objective changes in the donkey.

Healing is a valid and intrinsic part of many spiritual paths, including that of Jesus. So, I do believe in it. I believe that, through stemcells and other mechanisms, the body has an almost miraculous power to heal itself. Sometimes, this Power is unlocked and manifested through prayers, healing rituals, and related activities. And, at other times, even truly miraculous (supernormal) Power is possibly involved.

Not all conditions can be healed. There were some, the Scriptures say, that even Jesus could not heal. If, for example, a condition is karmic (selected or chosen by the Soul) for some learning-purpose, to "heal" it would be counterproductive. But a condition that appears only to test one's faith, or to challenge one, can be healed.

This has been a subject of most intense interest in this life, partly because the donkey can use all the healing that he can get.:) And it is a subject of continuing interest, study, and exploration.

Silver Healing Meditations

Our energic protocol has changed. While we were, previously, working with silverblue visualization, we will now be working with the pure silver only. (Silver is the Hermetic color symbolizing elemental water, or cleansing and purification.)

So, in your healing-visualizations, will you please join us in imagining the area of the right kidney glowing with a clean, clear, pure, bright, luminescent, shimmering, glittering silver? This is the most likely to trigger some cooperation from the Unconscious.

Thanks again, in advance, my dear friends of the heart, for all that you do, and shall yet do.:) Your tender expressions of compassion are welcomed with a heart full of gratitude.:)

Healing and Karma: the True Story

*******

If you can "catch the karma" just right, miraculous healings are indeed possible. But this depends more upon karma than upon technique. Some healers are almost fanatical about technique. But it is really karma that allows true healing.

If your karmic time-period for a disorder is "over," the body will spontaneously remit even without using any technique at all. Peoples' cancers have remitted while standing in line at the grocery store, or while driving on the freeway. On the other hand, if your karma determines that this NOW is not the time, you can be surrounded by a dozen of the best healers in the world, and you can be ingesting every positive and helpful herb, doing the best affirmations, visualizations, and prayers, and still not be "healed completely."

This is why even the most famous healer in history, Jesus, was "unable to heal some." It truly does help to cooperate with the Spirit. But we must be especially careful of taking ego-credit for processes far beyond our control or understanding. That is why a true healer will never claim to be the "Source" of healing energy, but only its "conduit." She wisely recognizes more tsunamic forces arising from the Unconscious. So, an ego-based healer, one who overcharges, or one who seeks or accepts fame is always a phony.

The good news is that every act of Love helps to erase a little karma. This applies to both reflective karma and to optional (chosen) karma.:)
