The Pneumarium Gathering and Distractions

You can bet that the lower nature and the general "busy-ness" of life will always, never fail to, present you with something "more important," or at least, more immediate, than the Pneumarium. It happens every time, to everyone. There are always at least twenty other things that we (Adamaria and I) could do around here on a Sunday. The only "solution" in this superhypermega busy world is the setting of priorities.
While we cannot be inflexible or unreasonable, the truth is simple:
There will always be "something else" that seems "more immediate" or "more necessary."
This is just how the world is constructed. It is made this way by the great Dreamermind to test our commitments. We and all our superfriends send our greetings and Love! We had more fun than a barrel of elephants!
We discussed at length our spiritual independence from all churches, organizations, human leaders, and human doctrines. At the end, we were all filled with laughter and the deep serenity and tranquility of Love.:):) We all missed your presence, and hope to "see" you on July 20!:):)

The "Rewards of God (Love)"

This project of Love has been correctly identified as your very "reason for being or existence." And your efforts synchronistically parallel many of our own here. (Care must be taken to keep the two separate, for they are cllearly related.)
Reference is to the Pneumarium Project. It is now entering its sixth year. It has been very challenging to keep up any public interest in this project for spiritual education. Yet in the Soul, it is recognized as irreplaceable. Like you, we have had challenges with funding, but our major area of difficulty has been "drumming up" interest. This is written after several promotional emails have gone forth, mostly, without responses.
Most people respond to this major undertaking with a giant yawn or a great snore. This can be discouraging in the extreme, especially on our not-so-good days, when the donkey is weak.
The principle that guides us here is that we must follow the interior recommendations of the Lovemind no matter what the public response is.
Great achievements and accomplishments of the Spirit must never be allowed to be controlled, regulated, or even influenced by public response or opinion.
From the view of publicity or money, the ministries of both Jesus and the Buddha were extreme and somewhat dismal "failures." Neither was recognized much during his own lifetime, and neither had much public support. It is remembered with poignancy how once, when Jesus was gathering a group to hear him speak about the "kingdom of God" in Jerusalem, only four of us showed up to hear him speak. Even he was somewhat saddened, but he said words that will never be forgotten: "God is no bean-counter; it is as important to touch one heart as ten thousand." His eyes were full of sad sincerity.
His lesson was, as he later said, that spirituality is not a "commodity." It is not to be "sold" or "vended" like beans or tomatoes. Love that is rewarded on earth (by fame or money) will not receive any "heavenly" reward, he implied in his famous Sermon on the Mount. (Mt. 6:1)
It is our human glory to be able to serve Love, and love is always its own, and often only, reward. Serving Love, our treasures are great in the "kingdom of heaven."
So, the "success" of this otherworldly ministry is never to be measured by the criteria used to measure "success" in all other fields.
Success is the smallest increase in the happiness or mental wellbeing of one other person, or of the self. That is the spiritual equivalent of a billion dollars!
You already know all this, of course; at best, this is only a reminder of what you already know, not a "new teaching." But selfevaluation is much more crucial to success in any ministry than is public support or economic "success." We must do what Love tells us, when Love tells us. We must follow Love to the ends of the earth, even when it empties our pocketbook and our heartminds, even when we have no treasure to give. Time is the only "currency" of the cosmos; it is the "gold" of the universe. And time can be "given to God" (Love) no matter what our level of poverty. We show that we respect our calling when we give it all, or much of, our time. We have nothing greater to give.
We have continued this fine work of teaching Love in the midst of apathy, ignorance, and even poverty. For doing the right thing is not rewarded by such trinkets and baubles as dollars. It is much more richly rewarded by an interior sense of fulfillment, satisfaction, and contentment. It is rewarded by Love, joy, and peace. So, when we meet economic challenges, we are challenged, not to stop the finest work of Love, but to modify it in some way. Perhaps the cosmic Mind does not want us to rent an office; perhaps It wants us to work out of our home; perhaps it is moving us toward greater simplicity. This is not a simple "all stop" or "all go" proposition; our path might require modification, and we might have to work in non-traditional or unconventional ways, to "cut corners."
But what you have is too valuable, too precious, to let it go, or let it pass. We are both being challenged to give our life-projects everything that we have; and, when we are exhausted, to give still more.
CAUTION: This finest of commitments can, as has often been said, exhaust, or even harm, your donkey; so, use with caution. Love asks for, sometimes demands, the very last psychon of mental energy that we can give. And Its rewards are sweet, it is true; but it does not "reward" the way the world rewards, with money or with material things. Instead, It seeks to sustain our Souls.

Pneumarium

It was an informative, fun, and educational gathering at the Pneumarium yesterday [June 8]! We all certainly enjoyed the discussions of life-path, life-calling, and related issues of life-design. It was a great and joyful synchronicity that we discussed these life-areas right when you were thinking of them! (We have discovered, in the past, that what is "supposed to come through" usually does!:)

The Pneumarium Gatherings

You will be glad to learn that our gatherings (we do not call them "meetings," for this is a word commonly used by religions) usually contain only five to eight people. We are quite informal, and there are no "prepared sermons."
Everything is spontaneous and relaxed. In fact, although we usually gather in a room in the garage, this Sunday (tomorrow), we will probably be gathering in our small living-room.
We start at eleven am, and have a spontaneous Q&A session until twelve.
Then, we break for a one-hour lunch and break. At one, we begin the second session. By two pm, everything is all wrapped up, and over.
We want our friends to have most of their Sundays, and we do not want to be intrusive. Also, Sunday is often the only day that they can sleep late, so we begin late, at eleven am. So, if you come, you will still have your entire Sunday after two pm.:)
We hope to see you here.:) Fyi, our number is (513-)737-LOVE (5683).

Worship and the Pneumarium

When we do incarnate, we bring with us, deep in our minds, "contracts" that bind us specifically to other souls. This is all so that we can perfect our Love for ourselves and for them. A common caution is never to hate anyone, for that hatred can be a strong karmic force; so, next time around, you might be married to that person!
Happily, however, Love can also be an even stronger karmic bond, and will without fail bring you to the side of your Soulmate in a bright loving contract.:)
Jesus' recommendation re our Way of life was to keep it super-simple (the "K.I.S.S." principle). He held up to us as examples three ideals of living creatures who do not try to force life into human-created designs.
He used as parabolic examples the birds, flowers, and nursing infants. (See the latest uld.) What all three have in common is that they do not try to control; they do not force life into patterns that have goals. Instead, they live each minute-- only now-- going with the Flow. They do not irritate themselves by constantly asking what their "purpose" is. Perhaps it is a part of your life-purpose to stop asking this question.
Perhaps a closer study of the Way known as Taoism can help you here.
(Love Ministries has its own rendition of the little great classic of Taoism called Tao Te Cjhing. If you want a copy, just remind me!:)
God is best known, and served, by acts of Love. Love is the only true worship. Worship is not singing hymns, lighting candles, public prayer, going to church, or Bible-study. For none of these activities is, in itself, spiritual. You do much more worship in aiding an older person, a child, a challenged person, or a little animal than in giving a hundred long, drawn-out sermons. It is better to help and aid one creature than to spend a thousand hours doing "church-work."
Still, it is human nature to forget the truly important things, and to get lost in the trivia. This is why we have the Pneumarium gatherings.
Investing in spiritual education, and in spiritual stimulation, is also one of the fine, good, and worshipful uses of time.

"Ego" and Pneumarium

We did not invent the concept of the ignoring or dissolution of the tyranny of the "ego." "Ego" is used a bit differently in spirituality than in psychology. "Ego" is the word used correctly by mystics from every tradition, and it has been used by Christians, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, and others.
In spirituality, it means the lower, feardominated self, the merely "humanimal" self. This is the area of the mind that the people of Love and enlightenment want to bring under the control of the "higher Self" or Soul, and to bring both under the regulation of the "highest Self," the Spirit of Love. The terminology can be a bit confusing at first, but never fear: The Way of Love does not recommend selfannihilation, but (sometimes radical) Selftransformation!
We gather at the Pneumarium because this is no easy task, and is made only much more difficult when we seek to "fly solo.":( This is why Sufis, and other mystics, have, for millennia, gathered together in small groups as "extended families." [Please see the little article in the latest uld ("Universal Love Digest")] We do not want you to come to our gatherings when you are sick, as this is not the best way to love either yourself or others. But when you are well, our gatherings are a splendid way to love, and to serve, others!:)

Coming to the Pneumarium

You said that you were "feeling uneasy and a bit selfconscious about not coming to the Pneumarium." I believe that there is a good reason for this. For this is something that your deeper Mind really wants, and wants you, to do.:)
When we fulfill the deeper needs of the Soul, It consistently rewards us, with feelings of serenity, tranquility, peace, joy, and bliss. But if we act against Its needs, or neglect them, it can take a huge toll. We do not live as happily during the day, and we do not sleep as well at night.
We feel, deep down, that "there is something that I should do."
The Pneumarium gatherings are fun and easy. When we do not go, there is no human being that criticizes us, but, often, our own conscience does the work for you. It gently nudges you, over and over; only when that does not work does it produce a sense of slight but increasing anxiety.
If you did not eat, your body would naturally send you all kinds of signals, some of which nmight not be the most pleasant. Your mind/Soul also needs "spiritual food." Many churches and religions, like many books, do not provide this "spiritual food" at all, although they might claim to.
You, dear friend, are experiencing "hunger pangs" because you never let yourself partake of the "feasts" that we regularly share at the Pneumarium.:(
When I was in the cult, people were forced into "meeting attendance."
About a hundred people came to those dull meetings every week, despite the fact that they were boring to the point that you felt like committing hara kiri! And, several times a week, about a hundred people, out of a small-population town, showed up. Almost no one wanted to be there. Yet they regularly came, from a sense of loyalty to the cult. Their regularity often puts the people of Love, who are powerfully much more blessed, to shame!
We personally learned from the cult: We decided never to use guilt or anxiety to "pressure" our friends to attend the Pneumarium gatherings.
We even call them "gatherings" instead of "meetings," because we want nothing in common with the fearbased cult. But, the simple truth is
this:
When you miss our sharings as a family, you are doing harm to yourself; and you might be indirectly "harming" others as well, for everyone is uplifted by these gatherings. This violates the fine lifepattern called ahimsa, which is living without any harm to any living creature, including yourself. That "harm" can be mental, emotional, or spiritual rather than physical.
So, if you are feeling some anxiety, I am truly sorry to hear this. The Pneumarium gatherings, and the family, are never designed to create or support any form of anxiety. But I must also be honest and share with you that, in this case, I believe that this mild anxiety is generated by your Soul as a healthy signal that you are neglecting, and perhaps harming, It. Your Soul is complaining; and the only course of wisdom is to listen to It, and then, out of Love, to heal It! We are having another Pneumarium gathering on Sunday, April 27, and you are, as always, of course, invited.
We provide a clean, warm, comfortable place (cool in summer) with a free meal, free snacks, and continuous free coffee, or tea of many varieties.
We are trying to serve by making your spiritual education and growth-- the only things of real value in this world-- as "painless" and "effortless" as possible!
But coming to the Pneumarium regularly will take a little planning and structuring of your time, and nobody else is going to act like your "papa" or "mama" and do this for you! You are not a "child," and you do not need this! And I certainly have never had any interest in being anyone's "daddy."
So, your whole life can become far richer, far happier, and far more at peace. But it is going to take some microwork on your part. After all, a fulfilled and satisfied life does not "just happen." It is something that we must actively create by our choices! Now, you have a chance to give the most wonderful gift to your own Soul! This opportunity very rarely comes to us in this life! So, do yourself the greatest favor:
Plan to come to our celebrations of life and Love, sharing friendship and wisdom! You'll be very glad that you did!:)

Simplicity and Pneumarium

You don't mention any insuperable spiritual challenges, and that is wonderful! Your only karmic complexities at the moment seem to be in the area of materialism and money. The best advice that can be given here is carefully to inventory your life and find a place further to simplify.
It is recognized that you believe that you are already living in simplicity, but that is a relative term. Compared to some, your life is enormously complex, although, it is certain that, compared to others, it is relatively simple. Quite often, we complexify our lives without even realizing it. Complexity is such a "natural" part of life in the Western world that we barely notice it; it is often invisible, until you look for it with a magnifying glass.:)
The Love-bond that you are sharing with your family is a real treasure; please never do anything to weaken that supreme Love. To keep spirituality strong, and "front and center," we gather every two weeks with friends, specifically to discuss the important spiritual issues of life. Have you ever considered starting your own "Pneumarium-gathering" at your house? It might be worth serious consideration.

You don't mention any insuperable spiritual challenges, and that is wonderful! Your only karmic complexities at the moment seem to be in the area of materialism and money. The best advice that can be given here is carefully to inventory your life and find a place further to simplify.
It is recognized that you believe that you are already living in simplicity, but that is a relative term. Compared to some, your life is enormously complex, although, it is certain that, compared to others, it is relatively simple. Quite often, we complexify our lives without even realizing it. Complexity is such a "natural" part of life in the Western world that we barely notice it; it is often invisible, until you look for it with a magnifying glass.:)
The Love-bond that you are sharing with your family is a real treasure; please never do anything to weaken that supreme Love. To keep spirituality strong, and "front and center," we gather every two weeks with friends, specifically to discuss the important spiritual issues of life. Have you ever considered starting your own "Pneumarium-gathering" at your house? It might be worth serious consideration.

People can say absolutely anything about their "love for God," their religion, and all that stuff. But you really, often, cannot trust what people say. Instead, you have to watch their actual actions. For their truest priorities will be revealed by their behaviors.
Time is the "gold" of the universe. And it is how a person chooses to invest her time that demonstrates,, beyond the shadow of any doubt, what her priorities are. So, to learn the truth-- about yourself or any other-- watch your time-investments. For this is the only reliable way to determine what is important, or the most important, to a person.

Our Pneumarium Gatherings, and Karma

As far as being an "atheist," that is a little too extreme for us as well. Through the centuries, very spiritual people have regularly been accused of "atheism," due to the fact that we unanimously reject the common god of society and our culture. This is the Jehovah-myth, almost universally, but very tragically, embraced by almost all Christians. But in teaching that God was Love, Jesus implicitly rejected this ancient wargod. And, I believe, he also explicitly rejected Jehovah in his more esoteric teachings, shared not publicly but with only disciples.
The mistaking of Jehovah for God is the most significant error ever made in the history of the Western world. It has made possible the justification of wars and other horrors.
Like you, I am not much on "organized, official, or orthodox" religion.
I still do not "belong" to any, and have no plans to.
But we do treasure our extended spiritual family. It is simply wonderful and beautiful, and is a real Love-center in our lives. It gives us strength and serenity. So, every two weeks, for the past five years, we gather to discuss the truly important things of life, summed up as "spirituality." There is a galaxy between spirituality and religion. For spirituality is more similar to good, creative, constructive, healing psychology than it is to religion.
Anyway, we would like to invite you to come on over for one of our informal and relaxed gatherings. They are always on Sunday, and we gather every two weeks. (This is so as not to put time-pressure on our schedules.) We start at eleven, break at noon, and share a meal. Then, we come together again at one, and by two pm, we wrap the whole thing up. We start late because Sunday is the only day that our friends can sleep late, and we end early in order to give them the rest of their Sunday.:) It is always fre, and our next gathering will be on April 13 (We just enjoyed one two days ago.)
We believe that, in this life, there are no "innocent victims," that "bad things happen to good people" as a result of karma. This is the only explanation that we have found, after three decades of serious and intense research, that makes any sense.
But it does not mean that a person harmed anyone if she is suffering right now. For it could also be "elective karma," which the Soul can choose voluntarily-- in order to grow, or to help someone else grow.
So, like the cosmos itself, karma is not "black and white." Many of the greatest mastersages and saintmystics have suffered from some rather serious conditions. This is due to courage, for they did not flee in terror from "negative" conditions, as do so many "positive thinking" advocates, who are secretly terrified of life.

Starting a Pneumarium Group

Life as a lifedesign consultant and psychospiritual advisor-- in short, a spiritual teacher-- has given meaning and purpose to life.
Start a Pneumarium! Remember that it takes only two people to start a regular Pneumarium. If the two of you meet regularly, and do not give up, in time, a third person will come, and then, a fourth.

Remember that God treasures each one infinitely. One enlightened or Love-activated heart is equally important as ten thousand! Don't get caught in the "numbers game." God is disgusted with "megachurches" of thousands, because they so often actually help no one! They are much too busy helping, promoting, and supporting themselves. They are nothing but religious corporations and moneycollectors, and their leaders lust after fame and wealth, contrary to the Way of Jesus.
For Jesus met in small, even tiny, groups, and gave personal attention to whomever with whom he happened to speak. So, let us follow the humble Jesus, and treasure infinitely each and every heart. For it is much more important to share the cosmic Love of God with one heart than to share merely intellectual ideas with ten thousand.

The Pneumarium Gatherings: A Clarification

You have decided not to join the "family" in a day of fun, celebration, and spiritual learning. But please think about it: For this is something that we all quite desperately need.:)
You classify our Love-gatherings in the same category as "religious meetings." They are not; in fact, we are careful assiduously to avoid even the word "meeting" lest we be confused with religious types. (We prefer the native American term "gatherings.") Our Pneumarium gatherings are definitively not religious in nature; they are spiritual, based only on Love and joy. We do not teach any dogma or doctrines, but simply consider great spiritual truths from many angles. We also discuss some religious ideas, but those are not the nucleus of our gatherings. We come together because we want to, and we all enjoy it! We have fun!:)
So, please do not simply, carelessly "dismiss" us as a matter of personal "policy." For if you do, you might miss one of the truly happy opportunities of this life. For our gatherings are like "parties," not "meetings." Your characterization, it is realized, arises from your lack of experience, as you have never come over here for one of our group discussions. I would simply supplicate you please to make decisions based on knowledge and actual experience, and not on invalid comparisons with religious or other groups.

An Almost Springlike Day: The Latest Pneumarium Report

Our latest Pneumarium-gathering was a megablast! We had more fun than humanly possible! We shared much laughter, conversation, good food,
and-- most importantly, "spiritual food" as great conversation! The conversation was electrically alive with enthusiasm, yet remained very friendly! It really took off!:):) We discussed the goodness, or lack of it, in some sociopolitical circles, among other topics.
We saw some friends that we have not seen for a long time! Among those attending were (in alphabetical order): Albert Bollinger, Pat Fields, Adamaria Francis, Mick Gallagher, Ronda Lambert, Carol and Steve Lawson, Cheryl and Dennis Spencer, and Pam Townsend.
It was almost springlike outside, one of those days when you just want to inhale deeply, and thank Love for the temperate conditions! A beautiful day for February!

Pneumarium Report

We had a joy-filled, joyful, wonderful hypermegasuperblast at the Pneumarium today! Barb and Dave Reaman and John and Patty Vidmar came, and so did Linda, Albert, and Pat! We had not seen these dear friends for quite some time! We laughed and laughed! Everyone got "high"!:):) We did have brief periods of more serious talk, but they did not last long!:):) It was a beautiful day outside, but we were all thrilled and overjoyed to be inside, sipping our warm coffee and tea! Wish you could have been here! You missed a beautiful, energizing, healing afternoon full of fun! We had more fun than a barrel of elephants!:):)

Visit to Pneumarium

Our gatherings of our students (little extended spiritual family) are nothing formal at all. In fact, we are very relaxed and informal.
Group-gatherings have been as small as three, and have attracted as many as twenty-four.:)
We meet in a very special room made for the purpose. It is clean, but not flashy or fancy.:) This is also the room where we store our books.
(We distribute twenty books on spirituality and spiritual psychology.:) So, we hope that you will pick up one or two (or more) while you are here!
Following the Flow or the Tao of unstructured spontaneity, we have no preplanned or prepared lessons. Our interactions (conversations) arise from whatever subject is mentioned at the time. The "floor" is always "open" to new inquiries and comments.
We recognize no leaders but the "Spirit" (Mind of the heart). (We call it the "deep heartmind.") We also have no dogma, no doctrines set in stone.
The closest thing that we have to a teaching is the belief that Love is the central Mind, the Center of the cosmos and of life, and that Love works practically to inspire, uplift, and inform our lives. As "God is Love," we worship Love. This expresses as kindness, goodness, friendliness, tolerance, and an entire list of positive qualities.
We are eager to share more with you, but you will not be pressured.:) No attempt will be made to "convert" you to any religion; for we are members of many religions, or none at all.:)
So, expect a small but friendly group of people who will be both delighted and eager to make your acquaintance.

Pneumarium Gathering

We had a hypersupermegablast Sunday at the Pneumarium! At the end, everyone was walking about six inches off the ground! We discussed in some great depth the teachings of the people called gnostics-- the mystics who were the very first Christians. (We now know about them through their own writings, which are fascinating and compelling.)
These beautiful Love-mystics received their teachings directly from Jesus Christ, but their books and records were later banned and burned by the orthodox Church. But the Goddess made sure that they survived, and now, blessedly, we can read them today. They are found in the famous "Nag Hammadi Library."
The library of formerly hidden teachings is the subject of my new book, The Re-enchantment of the World: Astounding Early Christians. After the "abiography," being published now, it is next on our publishing agenda.
You missed a beautiful meal, and a wonderful, delightful, profound Love-sharing. The Presence of the Goddess was palpable!:)
