The best way to help a paranoid schizophrenic is by supplying her with plenty of unconditional Love. Like all other persons, the person troubled with this serious psychological disorder responds to agapology-- expressions of unconditional Love.
Paranoid schizophrenia is a very serious mental disorder. It cannot always be healed completely, even by Love, but Love does improve those who suffer from this terrible disorder.
Love is always the right response, the right thing to do, in any situation and every situation. It always helps to improve the individual who gives and the one who receives. In time, it has the effect of healing the entire planet, and the entire galaxy.
So, let us continue, in Love, to pray for all who are ill. Let us pray, specifically, that healing Love fill every heart with the healing Light of Love. And let us pray relentlessly and incessantly, never giving up; for this is the only Way that Love will ever overcome fear. For all the cosmos is involved in the conflict, opposition, or disparity between Love and fear; it involves each and every heart. So, let us declare our solidarity with Love, and against fear. Then, let us follow up our declaration with actual activities of compassion, charity, generosity,
and kindness. For every act of Love is an act of healing.

The "Love of God"

The best Way to "embrace God's Love" is by loving others. It is only the heart that is open to loving that is open to receiving Love. Showing kindness, goodness, honesty, tenderness, gentleness, mercy, and forgiveness at every opportunity proves that we are "recipients" of God's Love. For no one receives It until she mirrors It.

The Poorest People in the World

Learning, Intellect, and Love
Learning, Intellect, and Love

God (Love) does not command us to "understand" everything. She/He does not even direct us to understand everything about Christianity! Most people are quite limited, and cannot understand, or even read, all the complexities involved, for example, in Scriptural studies. To know them all, in fact, you would have to read tens of thousands of books.
God is Love, not intellect. So, God commands us to love, and not to become "walking encyclopedias." It is not what you know, or what you believe, that moves you into "salvation." It is the Love (grace) of God, acting in and through your heart.
Ministers, in order to minister effectively, do have to learn a great deal. And there is so very much to learn! But whether you are studying early history, ancient manuscripts, the books of the Bible, or various explanations of spirituality and religion, this "study" is all worthless if you do not add compassion, empathy, goodness, and kindness-- all Lovexpressions-- to your life.
A person who loves once is a thousand times as "valuable" to God, and a thousand times more enlightened, than anyone who knows a billion facts.

Love (God) Calls to Love

Religion has taught people, for so many centuries, that "understanding the Bible" is what spirituality is all about. But, in history, people who were "experts" at understanding and explaining the Bible have been pedophiles, thieves, liars, political manipulators, warriors, rapists, and murderers (such as those who murdered Jesus).
So, "understanding the Bible," or particular teachings, is not what true "Christianity" is all about.
No, instead, Christianity is about living with as much Love as possible. Jesus himself said that his true followers would be marked (identified) by only Love. (Jn. 13:34,35). Jesus was not an expert on the Bible; for our modern Bible did not even exist during his lifetime.
No, pleasing God is not about understanding everything, or even understanding many ideas, concepts, teachings, or doctrines. It is all about Love.
A very simple man (let us use the parable of a mentally arrested person) who truly showed kindness and gentleness to all, who did the very best that he knew how, but never picked up a Bible, would fare better at Judgment than A Bible-expert who was a "walking encyclopedia," but who did not "have time" for others.
God does not care if we learn much about dogmas and teachings. People are always arguing over the Bible precisely because it is not clear in these matters. If God really cared about intellectual teachings, he would have written a ten-volume encyclopedia, explaining everything.
God uses the earth, not a church, as our "school." The church should energize us to remember the holiness of Love, and it should encourage the activities of Love.
Every act of Love is an act of worship.
And there is no "small" act of Love.
All involve God, Who is Love.
God could not care less about our intellect or our beliefs. He cares about only our Love, and Jesus always encourages Love-- mostly, through non-judgment (never saying that any Soul has no good), and endless forgiveness.
To please God, you do not have to belong to the "right" church. Jesus and the apostles did not belong to any of the modern churches-- neither Catholic nor Protestant. They did not exist in those days. So, we must do what Jesus did-- according to our limited ability. We cannot cure the sick, but we can perform acts of loving-kindness everywhere that we go. Sometimes, a simple smile can change a whole day; sometimes, you can help by doing errands; sometimes, you can listen on the phone; sometimes, you can write emails or snailmails. A kind word can help a person through a tough day.
Every action of Love is an act of service to God.
The only Way to "love God" is to love human beings and other creatures.
God wants us to love ourselves and to help (aid, assist, give to) each other. Our world needs a billion acts of Love every day. It is better to lay a single brick than to dream of a thousand palaces. An act of Love is worth a thousand sermons. So, do something "small," some small acts of kindness, every day. For kindness is Love; kindness is true religion. Forget about all the complicated ideas of religion. They can be interesting, but, when they become a burden, drop them and lay them down. But never stop loving!

The Beautiful Heart

No, my friend, it was not hollow flattery to point out that you have a "beautiful and unique heart." You are halfright: Everyone has a "unique" heart, but not every heart is beautiful. (Well, yes, they are, but often so deeply as to be inaccessible.:) A beautiful heart manifests itself through acts of kindness, generosity, service, and expressed and practical goodness. It reaches out to help and aid others. It cares about people, and for human needs. It is courteous, polite, and solicitous. It is, in short, a heart of expressive Love, or of Lovexpressions. All of these qualities have been observed in your behaviors.

The "Moral Code" of Love

When it comes to a "moral code," people often forget that "moral" simply means "good." So, a moral code is a set of guidelines or regulations that increase the goodness in our lives.
The very highest moral code in history is to follow the Way of Love.
For example, in sexual matters-- which are the ones that people think of first when considering "morality"-- the Way offers several valid guidelines:
It supports ahimsa. This means that we are prohibited absolutely from voluntarily harming any person at any time, for any reason. We must not harm others emotionally. So, we must stand behind fidelity and faithfulness in marriage, for this is a commitment to God and to human beings. Since sexual promiscuity harms many people-- whole families, if not communities, in many ways-- it is not allowed under the guidelines of the highest morality. Also, since it might produce unwanted kids, which would seriously harm and damage them, careless or promiscuous sexual intercourse is flatly prohibited. So are "recreational" or "casual" sex, because sexual interaction must remain a manifestation of true Love with commitment. Any attitude but the sacred cheapens sexuality. It must remain a high form of worship. Thus, it must be Love.
In other life-matters, the Way of Love recommends that every day, we do something real to help or aid others. This might be teaching, if that is our calling or gift. But it must also express in giving economic aid to the poor, aiding the sick or challenged, and generally, extending a helping hand. In a world such as ours, there are millions of opportunities each and every day.
The Way recommends kindness towards all, and goodness, honesty, generosity, fairness, compassion, and the expressions of tenderness, mercy, and forgiveness. We must be gentle towards all. A being of Love will never use offensive violence. That is, she will never attack; but she might have to use defensive violence if attacked.
To sum up the Way: Love everyone, serve everyone, and forgive everyone.

"Powerful or Weak"?

Before incarnating on earth as a physical body -- while still in the "pre-incarnational" Soul-world -- I gathered with my trusted, beloved advisors. We were discussing my coming incarnation.
They offered me two scenarios of the life to come:
They, sharing comments one at a time, said, in effect, that:
In the coming life on earth, I could choose a body of enormous, impressive strength and power. With this body would come certain mind-changes. Self-confidence (in the ego) would likely be over-developed. Arrogance was a real possibility. Pride also came with this package. Self-reliance and independence from others would be a "must," and it would be insisted. Spirituality, which requires realistic humility, would be a rather distant vision, and not an immediate goal. Physically, this would be a greatly, vastly exciting life! But spiritually, it would be one of utter poverty; little karmic progress would be made during this life. Growth would be incredibly slow to non-existent.
The other kind of body that I could choose, as a Soul, was the "weak" body, more vulnerable. With this kind of body would come, naturally, a greatly increased and enhanced sense of empathy, sympathy, and compassion. The spiritual treasure of humility would be so much more easily developed within an imperfect, humble, and vulnerable body. The sense of utter dependence on God (Love) would be maximized. There would also be a highly increased sense of healthy dependence upon the Love of
others. Simple kindness, towards people and all living creatures, would be made stronger. Spiritual growth would leap ahead by allegorical lightyears; more spiritual and mental growth could occur during this one life than during the past five thousand years!
I considered the two options; each had its "good points," its "temptations." In the end, vulnerability and healthy dependence was chosen over ego-inflating superindependence.

Cults, Learning About, and Knowing, God

This poor world contains a delicious, and very rich, potpourri, or smorgasbord, of spirituality. Members of certain cults or guru-groups are not the only people who have struggled valiantly and honestly to live lives of honor, peace, joy, and Love. Indeed, for many, the laws of human leaders and gurus (often in cults) are more important than even the immeasurable Love and grace of God. Through the centuries, many people have honestly striven to know God personally and directly, and they had not been cult-members. (Indeed, there were thousands if not millions of God-loving men and women before these cults came along.) The facile and shallow argument that Biblical characters were "really" cult-members in their hearts does not at all stand up to historical scrutiny. The older writers of the Scriptures were Jews, and the more recent ones Christians, but the name of a cult is not found a single time in the entire Bible.
Neither is the word "organization" found anywhere in the actual Scriptures. For it was simply not important enough ever to be mentioned.
I believe that God is Love, and that learning to love yourself and others is the only Way to please God and to find true fulfillment and satisfaction. I believe that God does not really care exactly what micro-doctrines you believe (since no one knows everything), but God, as living Love, does care how you behave and treat others. Orthodox Christians somehow came up with the odd idea that what you believe, rather than how you live, can "make" you a Christian, but Jesus denied this, saying that Love alone would mark his true followers. (Compare Jn. 13:35) So, in history, we have many people who "believed the right things" about Jesus, God, and the Bible, but were murderers, rapists, thieves, and liars.
So now, the personal spiritual path is "Love plus nothing." This reflects the simplicity and compassion (including non-judgment and forgiveness) taught by Jesus. And it is very easy, reflecting again his declaration that his "load is easy and My burden light."
All the religions in the world, so often filled with anti-spiritual pride, probably do not know a thimble-full about the infinite God of the cosmos, who is vaster and more beautiful than the galaxies. So, their pride in doctrine actually reflects a kind of foolishness or intellectual limitation. And nowhere do the Scriptures command us to understand God, but only to love Him, in the same manner that we learn to love human beings and other creatures.
God can be known, but not by the jigsaw piecing together of separate data. He can be known only by the moving, touching experience of Love.
Knowing that "God is Love," it is only reasonable that the ancient texts are implying the "radical" but enjoyable idea that we should worship Love in its most universal form. This has nothing to do with sexual activity (the way a fundycult-member would likely interpret it), but has everything to do with selfesteem, selfrespect, and compassion, respect, and tolerance for, and goodness and kindness towards, other people and other creatures. For God lives in and through them all.

The True Master
*******
When anyone calls another "Lord" or "master," the one being addressed is being acknowledged to have a Self of Love within. It is not the body of the person being addressed, and not her ego-identity, and not even the higher Self (soul), but the highest Self (Spirit).
When Jesus was called "Lord," it was not the man Jesus who was being addressed, but the Spirit indwelling his mind at the Core or Center. This was an address to the Spirit of pure Love that indwelled him. Jesus had erased his ego-self and "disappeared" (by absorption) into the infinite Mind of Love deep within him. As evidence of this change, he early changed his name from "Immanuel" to "Jesus."
People who say that they want to be "like" Jesus are always saying "Jesus... this" and "Jesus.... that," but Jesus himself never once used the name "Jesus" in his public teaching all during his life. So, people who are really being like Jesus are not your average "Jesus-people."
To be "like" Jesus is to draw all attention to the "Father," as the Master Himself did. It is to talk about the Infinite Immeasurable Reality at the Center of all Mind and all the cosmos. It is to speak about the One, the Ineffable, God.
Everyone is, deep within, this same "Lord" and "Master," as we manifest that deep interior Spirit. But a true master will never, under any conditions, refer to herself as a "master." This is one of the marks, in fact,of a fake, fraud, or phony. For this would divert attention away from the invisible Spirit and redirect it to ego, and to ego-praise. This is to miss completely and entirely the place of humility in the Way.
For deep humility, even silence, marks the true master. And a real master is never the "master" of others, or of people. A real master is she who has mastered the self, with its lower energies, weaknesses, and imperfections. A true Master has tamed her "lower nature" or "animal nature." She has under control her appetites, for food, sleep,sex, and other biodrives. She turns all energies heavenward, or heartward, towards the indwelling Godmind.
She never brags, boasts, or selfdisplays. She has no interest at all in "impressing" anyone, and does not even try. Instead, she finds peace and deep tranquility in silence and service. A mystic will teach if she is called to teaching. But outside of that talking, she will find great comfort in silence. A master avoids all extremes, and need not be silent at all times, but neither can she talk all the time, hogging conversation and grabbing the spotlight. she sows the seeds of Light and truth, but is never worried when people ignore her, as that is also part of their path to growth.
A true master will exercise gentle but firm control over her speech and actions. She will practice courtesy, friendliness, openness, kindness, goodness, and compassion. She will try not to eat too much or too little, sleep too much or too little, sexually engage neither too much nor too little. she will strive to find the moderate Way of balance in all bio-activities,and in all other areas of her life. She will not obsess about her self, or her career, or her accomplishments. Indeed, the true master will usually refrain from speaking about herself at all (unless she is directly questioned, and the answer can aid a student).

When anyone calls another "Lord" or "master," the one being addressed is being acknowledged to have a Self of Love within. It is not the body of the person being addressed, and not her ego-identity, and not even the higher Self (soul), but the highest Self (Spirit).
When Jesus was called "Lord," it was not the man Jesus who was being addressed, but the Spirit indwelling his mind at the Core or Center. This was an address to the Spirit of pure Love that indwelled him. Jesus had erased his ego-self and "disappeared" (by absorption) into the infinite Mind of Love deep within him. As evidence of this change, he early changed his name from "Immanuel" to "Jesus."
People who say that they want to be "like" Jesus are always saying "Jesus... this" and "Jesus.... that," but Jesus himself never once used the name "Jesus" in his public teaching all during his life. So, people who are really being like Jesus are not your average "Jesus-people."
To be "like" Jesus is to draw all attention to the "Father," as the Master Himself did. It is to talk about the Infinite Immeasurable Reality at the Center of all Mind and all the cosmos. It is to speak about the One, the Ineffable, God.
