Dearest Friends of the Heart,
As most of you know, Love Ministries has recently started the Love Ministries Federation. This is a Lovebased, cooperative communion of small, independent ministries which care for orphans in the poorest countries on earth.
Many of these orphans have had homes, brothers, sisters, and parents torn away from them through military violence. Some have had their homes, all possessions, pets, and even family-members burned before their little innocent eyes. This is in turn supported by greed, commercialism, and religious bigotry.
These do represent the poorest people on our little planet. The Way of Love is often marked by how we deal with strangers.
As beautiful spring grows into summer, what is the very greatest, the most fundamental, gift that you can give to another?
It is the gift of continued life. We now have a great and wonderful opportunity to give to God's children this very special gift. For only the amount that you would pay for one cd, or one hamburger, you can make the ultimate difference between life and death, survival and perishing. We are accepting donations of as small as three dollars. Due to an almost complete absence of response to this fine program, we are

The Poorest People in the World
We are delighted to hear that you still wish to support our outreach to the Poorest People in the World. At sucha "hypermaterialistic" time as Christmas, we are paradoxically drawn to the birth of the great teacher of Love and compassion, while simultaneously torn away from Him by too much concentration on bucks! Thus, Christmas can be a wearying experience if we do not keep our eyes on the prize. For the very greatest Christmas gift of all is Love. When this is our gift, the entire world is the winner!:):) We are working on a new collection for our friends, the little orphans, but it will not be completed, sadly, until after Christmas. The Poorest People in the World

Love Ministries of Rwanda

Love Ministries of Uganda.
That is six ministries who care for orphans. (6 x $84= $504.) We also plan to send some copies of the book Kami and Kamu, our children's book, later, as gifts for these children.

Through a visiondream, the Spirit of Love has guided that we take up a fourth collection for the poorest people on the planet. Our Love Ministries Federation, which cares for these destitute and hopeless, hapless orphans, who have had everything taken from them, including families, by the horrors of commercialism, greed, and war, must care for these abandoned people. They are arguably the "least" of the "brothers of Christ" on this planet, so whatever we do for them, we do for the
Christ, or Holy Spirit of Love.
So far, in this collection, we have gathered only a pittance. Please remember that, for the price of one fast-food meal, or one electronic game, or one cd, which you might buy for an American child who already has (and is bored with) several electronic games, and several cd's, you can make the difference between life and death for another sacred human being. There is no better way to love, or to "worship" our sweet Lord of Love! So, please donate today!

Love Ministries and Donations

Love Ministries, as its name indicates, has one guiding motive and incentive, and that is Love or compassion. We exist for no other reason than to teach and to make known the Way of Love.
That is why we insist that the Ministries are not a "business." We never want to, refuse to, reduce the work to a mere "business." It is not commercial, and Love is not a commercial "commodity." We hate to collect money, and do not like even or ever mentioning it.
But a reasonable perspective tells us that money is a part of this illusion-world. It is necessary to get things done, and especially, to help the poorest people in the world.
So, please do not mistake the fact that we almost never ask for money to be disinterest, apathy, or complacency. We are interested, compellingly so, in anything that can help our sisters and brothers. Our work with the most poverty-stricken people, in the most desolated countries, demands that we send them donations from time to time to do their fine work with orphans. Love Ministries does not usually ask for funds, and we do not like to do this. But, from time to time, we will be reminding our friends, students, clients, and neighbors of needs that include donations, which we vow to use to educate and to aid the poor. No one at Love Ministries has any kind of remuneration; we pay no salaries, and all our work is purely voluntary; both our time and our work are given freely, out of Love for people and other creatures.
We remain open, dear friends, to any ideas or suggestions that you might have about fund-raising, as we have virtually no experience in this area. Please never confuse us with so-called "ministries" which are nothing but money-making businesses, with salaried workers, building-rental, and paid telephone-solicitors. We are a small ministry, and have none of this overhead. And we plan to keep things supersmall and supersimple, while at the same time, reaching out the hand of Love and cooperation with our sisters and brothers all over the world.

The Poorest People in the World

We are thrilled, excited and delighted, to report that our first and our second fundrives for the poorest people on our poor little planet have been successful, blessed by God (Love). We have gathered, from friends, buds, pals, students, clients, and neighbors, in our first collection, five hundred dollars; and we are truly blessed to report to you, dear efamily, that the second fundrive has also been a smashing success! We have collected another $500! This will, of course, be divided equally among Love Ministries of India, Love Ministries of Kenya, Love Ministries of Pakistan, Love Ministries of Tanzania, and Love Ministries of Uganda.
[We are still seeking donations, as small as three dollars.]
This note is simpply a friendly-- and, we hope, unintrusive-- note of thanks for those who so kindly, so generously, provided donations for our sisters and brothers, many of whom are on the verge of starvation, having lost home and hope due to the greed of warfare and commerce.

Donations for the Poor

Yes, it is truly "good news" to help to assist the very poorest people on this planet. They make no pretensions, ask for little, and seem thrilled that we not only speak of Love, but are trying to implement it.
If you would like to contribute a little each month to the "trip P" (Poorest People on the Planet) Project, that would be very welcome. And yes, we will continue to collect until we send notice that it has stopped. These people are sweet and humble, as you know, if you have read any of their letters in Lovelight magazine. It is a real pleasure to work with them!:):)
