Love and This Short Life

When we are young, these lives on earth seem to be so long, as if they go on forever. It seems that some days will never end. Psychologists call this the "immortality complex." We feel as if this life goes on forever, that we are immortal in these poor physical bodies (shells). But, as we grow older and wiser, we are gifted by God (Love) with the revelation that these "nanolives" (very tiny lives) on earth are astonishingly short, and they fly away almost immediately. Life on earth is far too short to get much done.:( Happily, God has forever to work on our Souls, to teach them Love, and we have forever to learn.:):) So, no one need ever be in a hurry, and we need set no "deadlines" for ourselves.

Life is much too short to squander valuable timenergy in hatred or nonforgiveness. The very best use of each precious minute of time is in the cultivation of universal Love and universal forgiveness. The end of these earthlives will come sooner than we expect; and when they do end, we will be delighted by every minute that was "invested" in Love, joy, and peace. But we will live to regret, and feel the frightful agony of, any time that we have wasted or abused in anger, hatred, or dispute. For these are wasted moments, and time is the "gold" of the cosmos. Each minute of this life is like money, and we can "invest" it in creating a better world, or throw it away in supporting negativity. Each minute of this nanolife is much too precious to waste it in negativity.

So, let us, at every opportunity, dismiss, renounce, and turn away from hatred and anger from our hearts and minds, and fill our hearts instead with the golden light of the Love of God, Who is Love. (1 Jn. 4:8, 16)

Let us invest every second in denying hatred, bigotry, prejudice, violence, and other forms of ignorance and stupidity. Let us denounce evil and strive to become the embodiments of purest, unstained Love. We will always be glad that we made this life-changing decision.

The Sermon on the Mount, Part II of XL

TEXT: Continuing with Matthew 5:5.

"Blessed are the meek, for they shall inherit the earth.

COMMENTARY: Some translations say, "…inherit the land." Land, for the ancient Israelis, has always been a symbol of power and wealth. In this world, the land always goes to the powerful and greedy. But, in eternity, in karmic history, the "meek" (some translations say, "mild-mannered") will end up as owners of the land. After millennia of terrible karma, creating war over land ("the earth"), these greedy landowners will be without any land at all, because they stole it from others. Instead, in eternity, the disabused victims of war and thievery, the innocent and the peaceful, will end up as landowners.

6. "Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they shall be satisfied.

COMMENTARY: In our world, it appears that there is very little goodness or "righteousness," and those who practice goodness, those who long for goodness, are not often satisfied. But Jesus paints a very different picture of eternity. Those who "hunger and thirst" for goodness, kindness, and the "right alignment" with Love will indeed be satisfied to overflowing. They will find psychological wellness and happiness in this life, and joy, bliss, and ecstasy in their eternal Soul-lives.

7. "Blessed are the merciful, for they shall obtain mercy.

COMMENTARY: This is a succinct summary of the principle of karma.
Those who are merciful do not always find mercy bestowed upon them, or given to them in return, in this world. But Jesus assures us that, in their eternal Soul-lives, all who show mercy will also receive as they have given. Mercy to all sentient beings is thus very important, but especially mercy to human beings.

8. "Blessed are the pure in heart, for they shall see God.

COMMENTARY: To be "pure in heart" is to express Love at every opportunity, for Love cleanses us from the influences of ignorance and the lower nature. The more that we allow Love into our hearts, the closer we are to God, Who is Love. To "see God" is to have, at its literal height, a mystical experience. Then, God is not known only in an abstract way, but as the Lovemind deep within all sentient minds, as the Mind deep within the Self.

A Huge Universe: Beachball and Beebee Parable

An illustration that we have found useful is the "beebee/beachball" comparison: If the earth were the size of a beachball, you could not even see a human being. We are all much too tiny. Now, if you make the earth the size of a beebee, the sun is the size of a beachball. Compared to other suns in our galaxy, the sun is like a beebee and the other stars like the beachball. How small is the earth in this comparison? It is so tiny as to be invisible. Our galaxy contains one hundred thousand million suns. Now, imagine that entire galaxy the size of a beebee, and, compared with some supergalaxies, they are the size of beachballs. Now, when our whole galaxy is the size of a beebee, where is the earth in that scenario. It is literally microscopic.

Psychomodification and Homeworld Education

I must agree that the sweet and kind Susan [pseudonym] does not "deserve" her life as it appears to be right now. But we should never forget that a life-pattern for any life is designed by the immense intelligence/wisdom called the "unconscious Soulmind," so her tests and exams are not happening "at random."

A few souls incarnate on earth, from time to time, to accelerate vastly their spiritual growth. Many wise mysticsaints suffered, in their human manifestations (and dream) from incurable, often complex, challenges. These challenges were never easy or fun for them, or for the souls to whom they were so solidly bound in Love.

Trials of this nature can be quite trying. But, in the end, they can drive one to the very limits of human spirituality, and even beyond those apparent limitations, pushing one into the interior realms of the superhuman.

These things barely ever occur to "evil" people. So, they also drive all of us to seek their deeper, practical, and more realistic meanings and origins. Far, far too many childish minds simply dismiss the entire cosmos as "unjust," blind, or even evil. These shallow thinkers cut themselves off from God (Love), "eat of the tree of good and evil," and get whacked out of "paradise" (Eden means "pleasure.") All joy is sucked rom their heartminds, leaving them to die of spiritual thirst on a superheated desert. This dreamed "separation from Love" can never be real; but it is the very definition of the psychogenic state of "hell."

On the other hand, it can take some fancy footwork, as well as profound cognition (combined with acognitive therapy) for us to develop the hypersensual awareness of the meaning of Love in all this. The "easy way out," the lazy "cop out" is simply to deny that the cosmos has any meaning, and to die a horible, selfchosen, agonizing death in that spiritual desert.

Love is not "joking" with these earthlives. Before incarnation, at special classes in the Homeworld, we are prepped for the horrors and nightmares that earthlife might well bring us. In that preincarnational life, we are quite thoroughly grounded in the single fact that Love is in control of our life-designs, and never, never to forget this one fact, no matter how "terrible" our lives seem to become. This deep spiritual
education is also designed, precisely, by experts thousands of years old, to keep us from falling into hopeless panic. And blessed is she who can remember, and know.

You, like us, are being forced down the ghastly road to soulical memory, to recall your own powerful education, to call upon, and draw upon, every single interior resource to which your Soul has access.
